August 23rd 2002: The dedication of the mural took place at 11:00 AM. Bill Elphenbein and Mary Blue of the RTD Board of Directors spoke as well as the artist. The RTD had asked me what kind of music I would like for the dedication. I asked for a barbershop quartet and GOT one!!!!! The 24 Karat Ring performed. They included: Harlan Fletcher; Tenor, Darvin Hendee; Lead, Dick Himes; Baritone, and Fred Wiese Bass. Attending the dedication were many family and friends including: my wife: Susan Lax, My Mother: Donna Kornfeld, Brother Tom and his son David, Uncles Bill Thorn, and Ed Lackner, Aunts Doris Lackner and Joyce Thorn, Cousins: Joe Levy and his wife Kerry, Cindy Wasko and friends too numerous to count. I was greatly honored by their attendance.
